“Symbols” (Mt. 21:19; Mk. 11:1-10; Luke 19:28-31) [module #279]

The people read what e’er they wish
Into each symbol that exists
A donkey? Warhorse? Take your pick
’Cause in the end all meanings switch.

The jailers in this business world,
The moment Jubilee is heard,
Express their discontent around,
And see if ways and means be found –

To keep their dungeons, locks, and keys
In active status – thus to please
Themselves as they keep status high,
Though Lazarus et al must die.

I find that questions, quests, have costs,
A search for answers costs a lot;
To pioneer some paradigm
Entails a risk – result sublime –

But once it’s here, some answer right,
Life better gets, the load gets light.
Though Jubilee some do not wish
To see – results I would not miss!

So, Lord, I come to You for rest –
Not sitting back, but from each test
Relief from You – now lift each load,
And free us to get on the road.

Like now – with Kingdom-layer stuff,
With blockages removed – enough
Indeed our energy today
To pioneer, then quest-costs pay.

Lord, keep me as I venture forth,
Here in this springtime in Your North;
I love it here, as winter leaves,
And blockages to living ease.

Thanks Lord for this.
