“Skating Into Town”(John 12:19) [Module #282 (re-done)]

If loss is what you want in end,
Just saddle up and efforts lend
To task of being “winner” type –
That’s down-side-up, and isn’t right.

But if a long-term win’s the goal,
Christ’s gift to us, as we’re made whole
Is Kingdom-life above the fray,
And life the Spirit-walking way.

For loss of life, as in a seed,
Is not a loss, for death we need
To self, if others are to grow,
And Kingdom-life we come to know.

For Kingdom-life is pruned right back;
In doing so, the life we lack
Springs up within the space now made,
As sun replaces looming shade.

The best protection we can have
Is spreading ’round the word we have;
For then the seed-word’s scattered ’round
To grow in pockets in the ground.

We each have parts to play each day;
I re-present, interpret ways
One can make sense of life around,
’Till life on Kingdom-layer’s found

Lord, thanks for all You’ve done for me;
Thanks for the parts of road I see;
It is not every part, for sure,
In You all this we can endure.

Thanks Lord for this.
