“Settle Down” (Matt. 20:26-28; Mark 10:35-44 ) [Module #259]

It’s “more” that’s chased around the block
As we perform our daily walk
In world below the Kingdom-layer
In Photoshop, as Kingdom player.

But as we opt-out of that world,
And into Kingdom-life, we’re whirled
Into a different point of view,
And set of tasks for us to do.

Each task we’re given has endless scope –
Far more than we could dream or hope;
Released from tyranny of “more”,
We find what God’s designed us for.

The Kingdom life’s diagonal –
A mix of heaven and earth, but still
It slopes as we mature in each,
Until at last we Kingdom reach.

For me it’s interactive life
Which opens up in walk with Christ –
Ask for what you have now received,
And be involved with Christ with need.

So don’t read mail for other folks,
Just pass it on; come under yoke
With Christ, in tasks He’d have you do –
Each “this and that” He gives to you.

There’s some events which get you there;
And some are end-state Christ prepared
For you to dwell in, short or long,
Some place you feel that you belong.

So Jesus’ walk was Jesus’ walk;
Unique is yours, so skip the talk
And do your inter-active life
Each day in Kingdom, not world’s strife.

Thanks Lord for this.
