“A Choice Received” [Module # 210] (Luke 13:31-5)
On looking back at Christ through Scripture’s page,
I see Him at this point, His timing gaged
To rendezvous on peak, just at the time
Of “Kairos” – bids me do the same with mine.One aspect He had right was mentorship,
So when He hit His target-town no slip
Was made to wreck things up twixt cup and lip –
His pyramid of down-lines got the tip –From allies in the crowd, “You’d better scram,
For Herod’s on your trail”, He said “I am –
But I will soon return and take him on,
And at that moment We will both be gone”.For me, it is a choice which I received –
What I desired as my reward – belief
In prayer, just as He said, so then I asked,
If I could do Ap-ministry at last.“You’re on”, He said, and later brought the creds;
“Authority to do a task”, He’d said;
“It comes from God alone – as well it should,
Permission comes from folks – I’d hoped it would.“So Stu, the ‘gift of preference’ of that group
Is ‘giver-finance gift’ – down off the loop
You’ve come, into their giver-land indeed –
You have arrived – assessing now their need.“Though ‘entry to Jerusalem’ for you
Is still far off, this shows you what to do –
Become aware of core for giver-group,
Then tempo-time and place align with loop.“For where you were let off that Zeitgeist-train,
And when – it all lines up, becoming plain
That as you’ve lined your will up here with Mine,
My pacing of your life and work are fine.“The mentoring from four to seven-two,
Will soon emerge with lots for you to do;
In meantime you’ve a project to complete;
You’re partway done – play cards, not cash, in Me.”Thanks Lord for this description of the scene,
Beyond my scope and scale, and what it means;
As well, Your indication of my task,
Which You have given, and for which I’ve asked.Lord, what I’m hearing in this episode –
Discernment’s needed – tools required for load,
Not just for me, but others in the field;
“Encourage with resource” – that’s where to yield.Thanks Lord for this.
