"Though I Walk Now" (Psalm 138:7-8; John 15:1-17)

Though walking in trouble it’s You who sustains
My soul though my being should journey through pain;
My enemy’s wrath is now blocked with Your arm,
Your right hand delivers my being from harm.

Your purposes You will fulfill in my life,
So cast me not off as I go through this strife;
Encourage, support, and sustain me each day,
And guide by Your Spirit – I’m blind to Your way.

Lord, as this week opens, help me to let go,
Just help me by showing Your way, so I know
Not everything, just the next move I should make,
That others might know that You do not forsake.

For others are stumbling and grope in the dark,
Through me You sustain with a word at the start;
It’s not to forever that You will sustain
The others through me – but it’s You just the same.

Lord help me help others to take up each task
Which You have for them, help them hear what You ask;
It’s not to forever we each live on earth,
The torch we now pass, showing others it’s worth.

Lord, thanks for this journey out here in this storm;
I don’t understand it, but hear as You warn
Me, guide me, and show me each step of the way –
“Stay in Me, and Me in you, through every day.”
