When I left ministry in nineteen seventy-eight,
I’d heard some “reasons” which explained the major break;
However, though they all were right in every way,
They were diverse, and claimed to Victor be that day.I did some reading – “What is history?”, I asked;
Enriched my thinking as in courses of the past;
Who knows? And does it matter anyway?
Here is one fellow, like my dad, in “moral” play.It never was a focus of my nimble mind;
It was too ponderous for one who’d rather speak his mind,
And interact with what responses came my way –
Experiential is my interactive play.So I don’t know how long I’ll suffer with this guy;
He’s got a bias, and agenda full of “why?”
I hunch he’s not fulfilled his comprehensive stance,
And yet I feel compelled to give the guy a chance.Thanks Lord for this.
