"This Solo Walk" (Romans 12:3-8)

“This solo-walk has problems, now I find –
Confused and really fogged out is my mind;
It needs perceivers in proximity,
The ‘what’ and ‘why’ so critical to me.

“This solo-walk has problems, this I know,
Because detailed attention as I go
On through my projects, absent is, I see;
A server’s care is part of what I need.

“This solo-walk has problems, as I part
From beach to water-walking, leave this bark;
The giver’s sure assurance leading on,
Is part I need as thus I move along.

“This solo-walk has problems, each new day –
Compassion is required by those who sway
In mourning, as the morning breaks with dawn;
Compassion-person gift gives rise to song.

This solo-walk has problems now I see –
Administration is the death of me;
Mind-numbing are demands it calls of me;
Administrator gift – where can it be?

“This solo-walk has problems, as I wake –
I face the day without the skills it takes
To edit well the books I’m helping with;
A teacher’s skills I need to handle it.

“This solo-walk has problems, woe is me!
Encouragers for hopeless fill a need;
Without their words of ‘hope’ and ‘how-to’ seen,
Folks flounder, living lives both mean and mean.

“Yes, I designed each one of you with care,
To rise through body-life beyond despair;
This solo-walk has problems – won’t you come
Join with each other – parts thus be of One?”

Thanks Lord for this.
