"Wholly Bright" [Module #157] (Luke 11:33-36)

If there is no darkness in you, no part that is not bright,
You’ll shine in others’ presence, they’ll see just what is right;
But if some part is darkness, is shadowed deep within,
The light of Jesus presence can’t show up people’s sin.

So research takes the brightness of world that is around;
Our eyes are lamps in darkness, through them the truth is found;
Soon light flows into darkness, those corners of our lives
’Till now still cloaked, not shining – enlightened by our eyes.

Our basic tools come early – 3-R’s and social skills;
Then other tools are added, when curious we will
Seek out what’s all around us, a movie underway
When we arrived – we leave it unfinished in our day.

For research both informal, more formal, and quite strict,
Exceeds one person’s lifetime ’till ignorance is licked;
I like the application of truth in daily life –
That’s when my work is thrilling for me as for my wife.

The process can be darkness, oppressive evil ways;
It’s our job to be careful throughout our questing days;
But when the end’s upon us, some little truth we’ve found,
The thrill within’s life-giving – it’s great to be around.

Lord as this day approaches, my learning time is here;
Help me assess my process in You, to keep it clear;
May truth light up my seeing, what’s seen, retained within,
And may my inner process disperse the dark of sin.

Thanks Lord for this.
