"Shooting From The Shadows At The Upright Of Heart" [Module#164] (Luke 12:2-12; Psalm 11)

The silent ones make out quite well,
On earth, that is, not sure in hell,
For they’re the ones you’ll never see
In troubled times – their outlook? “me”.

They skit, and skiff, and dodge around
Each obstacle in life – they’re found
To be survivors – that is all –
For what they gain (so, since the fall) –

Is life, their lives, as Jesus said,
“Save life and lose it – when you’re dead
It evens up – you pay the price
For life on earth of being ‘nice’.

“Nice to yourself, of course, I mean,
Not nice to others in your scene,
Who neighbors take out by the score;
Shoot from the shadows – nothing more.

Then slinking around with double face,
While underneath is real disgrace,
They look and sound so nice out here –
Outstanding in their field appear.

Kick back, relax, the Spirit’s got
Your back my friend – so Spirit-walk;
Don’t fret about replies ahead;
It all works out, alive or dead.

Thanks Lord for this.
