"The World Is Not Reciprocal" [Module # 156] ( Luke 11:24-26)

The world does not reciprocate
(Except for love – it gives back hate);
On that one can lay out one’s day
With certainty – it is man’s way.

Life’s pretty much as it appears –
Folks’ attitudes, as end draws near,
Are pretty much what we’d expect –
Life’s here for those deigned God’s elect –

Which means, of course, “That’s me and mine,
And you and yours, so tow the line,
Or you’ll be cut from in-group’s list
(Which I design) – the rest are blixed.

Because big fish eat little fish,
You’ll likely end on someone’s dish;
Count it all joy when they do that,
For they consume God’s word at last.

A tasty morsel you may be;
Nutritious word someday they’ll see
Emerging from soul-soil prepared,
For life in Christ is multi-layered.

Not every layer emerges fast,
But over time impact at last
Emerges like a sleeper play,
As God applies His distant way.

Apostles aren’t the only ones
To boundary jump – for Satan’s sons
Slip in and use our wind-swept space
For party-land, to our disgrace.

The principle is just the same –
Life’s spiritual, and Jesus’ name
Impacts from in or outside scene –
For life is not just as it seems.

Thanks Lord for this.
