"The King's Kids" [1st John series] (1st John 5:1-5)
Though other folks do know of God, a mishmash is their thought;
But Jesus helps us clean that up, to know God as we ought;
So here John spells it out for us (not wise beyond our years,
But rather, “babes” who open are, so words he says, we hear.When Word of God we hear and do, our lives rise up and cease
To be the mess they were before, then comes from God His piece;
Commands He gives aren’t burdensome, but light indeed His load,
As He yokes in with us each day, our furrow-length is hoed.In faith we walk each day with Christ, and overcome the world;
We love the children of our God and seek to ease their load;
Amazing love God has for us, and all who hear His call,
Responding to a better life, mature, and free for all.Thanks Lord for this.
