"About That Loaf Of Bread" [Module #141] (Luke 11:5-13)

Then there’s that loaf of groovy bread
Passed on to us, by which we’re fed
In thanks for chats we’ve had each week,
Through which is passed the word we seek.

That, with a soup most excellent,
And bonbons – whence my diet went –
Such lovely gifts at end of day;
Delicious meal through which to say –

“I thank you, friend, for helping me;
Things I could do, though there might be
An elephant on chesterfield
That will not budge, move on, or flee.”

The road we travel on our route –
Our long-term quest; our big pursuit –
Is well and good as we may choose,
But God has plans lest we then lose –

Our way on unobstructed roads,
When clutter’s gone, and steady goes
Our routine life and all is well –
A kind of “lost” that’s hard to tell –

To others who do life with us –
It looks so good, there’s little fuss;
But deep, beneath still-surfaced ways,
Those currents run, conflict our days.

That’s when we see a junction rise
Which opens up to open skies –
An opening not visible
Until we’re there – God’s long-termed will.

Thanks Lord for this.
