"Persistence in Comprehension" [Module #142] (Luke 11:9a)

Some things take time
To get one’s mind
Around their bulk,
So best not sulk,
But buckle down
And drop the frown,
And have no fear –
God makes things clear.

Some things come quick –
Our walking stick
Is hardly out
When goes our doubt
About the way
To grasp the facts
On what we ask.

So, “I don’t know”
Says, “Off I go”
To some new quest
That bids my steps
Divert that way –
An hour a day,
But added up
The winner’s cup –

Is there for me;
The quest I see
Not outright sought,
But end is brought
Through little steps
Aside – and yet
God’s got me there,
Resolved my care –

For larger quest
His way; and yet
That’s how He made
Me – with a spade
To dig and sift –
Resolving it.

Thanks Lord for this.
