"It's Finished Already..." [Module #130] (Luke 11:1-4)

When lining up with what Your will
Is for our lives, our prayer is still,
“Give us today our bread, O Lord,
And lead us once Your word is heard.

For when we have received Your will,
In terms we can believe, and still
Not see it all, but ’nuff to walk
In faith with You, it quiets talk.

We talk too much (us introverts
Take note of course, for talk’s much worse
Than golden silence, here alone
With office view, here from my home).

But even if we’re extrovert,
And in a crowd our views assert,
We see as well, it’s too much talk –
The easy part – at work we balk.

But somehow here as we pour out
Our daily prayer, and look about
At dawning day before us now,
We sense it’s done – and you allow –

Us to accept completed tasks,
The victory is done, alas;
“Just ask for that”, You say to us,
“And pay no heed to local muss”.

Lord, You have drawn me on this far –
“Request what’s given for manna jar”,
But I’d not seen how that connects
With “It’s now done – the step that’s next”.

Once more You set my heart at peace,
From divineness my soul released;
Be with me now as I live out
These finished tasks without a doubt.

Thanks Lord for this.
