"To Move Outside Convention"  [Reflections on Chris Orwig's Book Visual Poetry - [Matrix Of Chapters 1-4 With Chapter 9] (John 1:1-34; Ezekiel 2-3 )

A step outside one’s house and car,
No matter where you think you are,
Is move beyond convention’s wall
To social-hinterland because –

Spectator-types don’t venture there;
As couch-potatoes they despair
Of living active lives again,
So choose a later type of pain.

Go down beneath eccentric’s skin,
To force which made that one begin
To push beyond convention’s walls –
When you find that, your photo falls –

Into a class all by itself,
No photo one gets off the shelf –
For then you have engaged the way
We move from couch to action’s day.

Thanks Lord, for this.
