"The Tipping Point And Teamwork"   [Module # 82] (Matt. 18:15-20)

The proverb speaks of camel’s back,
And final straw that broke it –
“It’s nothing”, they all say to me,
But don’t see what’s beneath it.

Lord, I’ve been riding way beyond
Capacity to carry;
The help I need’s with other stuff,
And pray You do not tarry.

The straw itself no issue is,
But heavy load’s beneath it;
“Don’t be a wimp”, one time I said –
I see now I must eat it.

Lord, what I hear is, “Look at life,
And parts which are not for you;
The ‘this and that’ I give to do
Is less than’s in your purview.

A team-sport I designed it as,
To help you share the carry;
You need to work as body-life,
At least with one you’ve married.

So stop this silly solo stuff,
You’re not designed to do much
All by yourself, or bear the load –
With others best be in touch.

So thank You, Lord, for this reprieve,
Through words to us in Scripture;
It’s not the way this culture works –
The solo-life they feature.

Not sure just how to pull this off,
Or where to start my fishing;
Within I feel imploded now,
I hunch it’s cash that’s missing.

Please open up my eyes, and ears,
My heart, and hands, this morning;
That I can re-configure life,
Now I have heard Your warning.

“Stu, cash is how that outfit works,
You’d better heed their blessing,
That you can move beyond your place –
No more by self be messing.”

Okay, O Lord, I’ll heed Your words,
And see if I can do it –
Now re-configure all I do,
Take smaller part, and chew it.
