"With Quality And Excellence"   [Module #65] (Matthew 15:21-31; Mark 7:24-37 Proverbs 22:29)

When excellence and quality are wasted in one’s town,
So heat and cold arise because of actions going down,
Sometimes it’s good to get away and let the tempest still,
For hot plus cold tornadoes make, in past and always will.

For often times our excellence stirs people deep within;
It challenges their lack of faith or doldrums that there in;
The ones who get the benefit of quality are hot
To talk about how blessed they’ve been, and will not yield to “stop!”

So hot and cold within one town make mix that’s volatile;
That’s Jesus here – so He left town, let things cool off a while;
Yes, He came back (to do His wash?) but out the other side
He went lest things heat up again, like rising of the tide.

“Did all things well”, they said of Him, throughout His ministry;
They talked about His excellence and work of quality;
This rubbed against opposers who had problems with His word,
And way He healed the deaf and mute so they could now be heard.

The numbers game is key to those who love the spotlight’s beam;
Christ has no issues with the crowds but sees what numbers mean –
They mean a lot of trouble when the hot air hits cold,
“So let’s vamoose; get out of Dodge; back off from actions bold.

So why would Christ do that at this point in His ministry?
He had to build Apostles up to send them ’cross the sea,
As workers into excellence, producing quality,
And that takes time to mentor up – that’s what in this we see.

So crowds may not like excellence and quality each day,
But Jesus built for long-term in His patient quiet way;
He knew the other cultures of the world would stand to gain,
If product He turned out (His men) would excellence attain.

So He checked out of work with crowds, though hard to do it seems,
To spend time building quality, and show just what that means;
We don’t know much about their talk in trips like to the sea,
Or on those dusty roads in summer heat, but we can see –

His men grew up as time passed by – He taught, then send them out;
He’d demonstrate His healing work, and show them all about
How heat and cold need handling; the way to ease on back
When volatile comes up too soon – maturity folks lack.

It’s plain to see as time went by, discipling was the key;
Not healing, teaching crowds who came engulfed in human need;
“Build for the long term; grow them up to excellence, then send
The folks whom you disciple – it’s much better in the end.

“So shun the glory, numbers, fame, and reputation hot,
And build in backwash what you want, accept the folks you’ve got;
Not all will be the rock-stars of this world – it matters not,
For as they grow mature in Me – they’ll learn to Spirit-walk.

Then two-by-two they’ll head on out as roads from you divide;
You need not travel far from home or place where you reside;
Just raise them up, those given to you, by Father up in heaven,
And send them into the world around as salt, and light, and leaven.

It matters not if excellence or quality are in,
For crowds are fickle in their thoughts, and moods will shift, for sin
Is part of life – they broken are, but point of all this is,
Build quality and excellence in work which is your biz.”

Thanks Lord for this.
