When children of Israel lived in the desert scene,
With sunrise and sunsets and hot days in between,
They lived from provision called ‘manna’ – daily bread –
On crossing the Jordan they had to farm instead.So some folks were shepherds; some traded, ferried goods;
Some folks were the craftsman; some cared for neighborhood;
Each added some sparkle as they performed their part,
Which elsewhere’s referred to as “mana”, like in art.The manna provision (two ‘n’s) dried up when they
Crossed over the Jordan that first triumphant day;
That form of provision – direct, but sparse it was –
Fell back as not helpful to them in life because –God wanted abundance to the flood into their lives,
New lessons for living with husband, children, wives;
Unnerving it seems when we start another stage,
But better provision starts up when change is made.September is start-up for many in this land,
New grades for the children, new things to understand;
New jobs, new career-moves, new journeys (some alone);
New challenge, new heartache, additions to our homes.The key is deletion of ‘n’ from manna now;
Mix sparkle with output, in all you do somehow;
For mana (with one ‘n’) when mixed with all you do,
Results in provision – abundant life for you.The dawn has exploded with vibrant pinks and blues,
Assuring provision through all we say and do;
The dawning is thrilling – brings back my early days
Of starting in Sandy with sun’s inspiring rays.Lord, grant me the wisdom to stay within Your care;
Help me be responsive as You direct me there;
Not running ahead doing things You do not wish,
But blessing Your world with Your mediated kiss.navigation
