Resurrection Ground
“Hey, come on in and set a spell,
Much nicer here than down in hell,
So put your feet up, celebrate,
It’s party time – don’t cogitate –“Too much, for this will lighten load
For you each day – without the goad
Of pressures of incessant type;
At last you’ve got perspective right.“For this, in fact is what you thought
Back in ‘eight hours’ – that view you’ve got,
‘A simple way of seeing things’,
Perspective which your past now brings.”Whew! Thought I’d have to stand outside
The inter-core, and here reside
Like down below – exile some more,
Quite near, yet far, though in the door.What comes to mind is party time
(lost son, lost coin, lost sheep) – sublime;
For that’s what we all need to feel,
A welcome warm, delicious meal.What sweet relief to be just “us”
Up here with others – gone the fuss;
Oh sure, there’s struggle down below,
But we inside such blessings know.A change that’s good as pressure drops;
Stress ebbs away as exile stops;
We have a home here once for all;
Enormous change which seems so small.I know the time will come for me
To turn, and with fresh eyes to see
How life on Earth lies out ahead,
Inside, above, from where I’m led.Indeed my load is lighter now;
Freed up to live with less somehow;
Freed up to come and go with ease,
Like walking ’round while on my knees.For handles come for others’ use
When we’ve agendas, can’t be loose
To silliness which others live –
Freed up to be, and move, and give.Lord, thanks for this big-little change;
For giving this perspective strange,
With real homeland up above,
While also here – freed by Your love.navigation
