Circle Of Life
The blue zone in the circle took up first twenty years,
Those years of my formation, as adult living neared;
Third culture kid established a base for what transpired
(From bush, to town, to city, gave me what I required.Pink zone took up next twenty – church context and the quest
For piece which we’d been missing, though we had all the rest;
For apostolic (missions) defined in former day,
Escaped our close attention, in that our answer lay.The orange zone took twenty – till sixty years no less –
Advising base for projects; resolving out the quest;
My MRD and novels; and visits with the Jews;
Rich dividends in thought forms; revisions to my views.I’m quarter through the green zone as I reach sixty-five,
With ‘Institute formation’ my span – and I’m alive;
Tough cancer was averted (because of dad, I checked);
The giver-mission started, with paper-trail to let –The others who will follow walk out this paradigm,
And benefit from insights as I do out my time;
For apostolic living was not viewed for today –
I’m walking out that insight, and doing life that way.I’ve two more zones with colors I’ve not selected yet;
I hope to live those sectors – one hundred twenty get;
Just like the revelation in Genesis today –
One-twenty is the number for us to work and play.So second-half’s just starting, with challenges that shift
From those of active lifestyle, (less burden I can lift);
It’s now that wisdom factors, to make up for the loss
Of strength, and speed of action, and working as the boss.“Eight hours a day with photos” is how I now do life;
It’s helped me in past living, results turned out all right;
Enabled now with photos, this Apostolic task
