Going On And Going On

“I don’t know what is going on”,
You say, and hence my little song:
It’s not that hard to understand,
Though downside-up (it’s Kingdom land).

It’s how to act when pushed around,
By folks who try to gain some ground;
Who’ve not yet learned that getting rich
Is best not done while in the ditch.

For there’s a road – one ditch each side –
In each, opposing teams reside,
Contesting for the road between;
“Just walk the road”, that’s what I mean.

In right ditch, men of capital;
The socialists in left ditch still;
But Jesus said, “I am the way”;
Each ditch just takes excess away.

For ‘limited’ resources look,
When all you have is what you took
From others of the road between;
It’s down the road that wealth is seen.

So stepping round these silly foes,
Is part of how one’s journey goes;
Each thinks I’m from the other ditch;
I’m not, I’m into being – rich.

So half the fun is tempting men
And women to this journey; then
Assisting them to tempters be –
To join our traveling company.

So when I meet misguided folks,
Who scuttle around, no room for jokes,
I love to taylor how I act
To helping them, not paying back.

Like how to handle money seized –
It shows me these folks wisdom need;
For “Greater is the blessing when
You give then when receive” – so then –

I always let the other give,
For selfishness is when I live
In such a way it’s always me
Who gets too nice-guy-giver be.

It’s rare that folks agree with me;
The taking-life is all they see;
So I just laugh, and pay their debt,
Set free – and their attention get.

I wander down the highway more,
And thank You, Lord, You know the score,
And take the time to Wisdom share,
How we can with our cash show care.
