Principle #3 Of 10 – Involvement

Six months it is today till Christmas Eve again,
Halfway we’ve come along despite surrounding pain;
If we’ve not had the chance to walk in other’s boots,
We find ourselves out gunned despite our matching suits.

So, “faithful we must be within another’s task”,
Is what the Savior said to people who had asked,
“If we can ever hope to faithful be in time,
For pressures on our souls increase when task we find.

“Be faithful to the Lord, in other’s tasks”, is hard,
For all of us who work in jobs, or home, or yard;
But shift that to our own, it’s geometric gain,
As we encounter life with geometric pain.

At Christmas time we stop, recall that Christ has come;
The eve before is now – manure, and pain as mom
Is birthing in our world, a better way of life;
In ours and other's task, fresh grace amidst the strife.

For when we walk the walk within another’s world,
We’re forced to choose and say, amidst chaotic swirl,
“Enough, I will not bend to live that other way,”
Then taste the consequence of loss of job and pay.

The author of our faith, fulfills that to the top,
We step out from the boat and on new water walk;
Where we before lost faith, assurance new within
Our souls as we step out, and on our own begin.
