From Geezer To Gazer
From geezer to gazer in one easy switch,
Of vowels – the difference makes viewing quite rich;
For “geezers” despised, or at least looked upon
With youthful disfavor – distinct looking down.While gazer looks outward with wisdom’s sharp eyes,
Assesses surroundings notes where value lies;
Appreciates beauty, relationships, love;
Connected to vision, that gift from above.For God said quite firmly, “How bless-ed eyes are,
Which see what you see, both the near view and far”;
For vision’s internal (we sometimes use eyes)’
To see Jesus’ Kingdom here under the skies.So inward or outward’s the question we face;
Do we do the looking from our living space?
Or are we just looked at, looked up to, upon?
If gazer’s a geezer, then something’s gone wrong.navigation
