The Effect Of Dummy Books

It is helpful in my process as a project grows along,
To have instances quite concrete like the music in a song;
For a structure sets in concrete what was nebulous at first,
Like a rhythm in the background – lets creative aspects burst.

I asked, could he make dummies, several books which I could hold,
Just some pages with a cover, different sizes, like he sold;
For some dummies with their covers gives me something I can see,
Which can show me several options, how such books are bound to be.

He showed me a dummy sample he had made a while before,
The effect it was quite thrilling, so I ordered several more;
Then I helped him count the pages, sped the process (without press),
So results I’d have more quickly – just some blanks but non-the-less –

I’m amazed at how such structure helps decisions on the way,
Though there’s changes and some options, most are down to “Yea” and “Nae”;
Other sizes are for next time, as the project comes alive,
For each structure has a meaning – get it right and things will thrive.

There’s dimensions, and there’s pages, type and paper, binding used;
There’s the size of margins in it, if it’s sewed or somehow glued;
Will let stand one hundred readings (that’s just ten for paperback)?
Will it help me move on forward, more than when I structure lacked?

“You can use your many talents doing anything you like”,
Is not helpful to a person, there’s no base to build it right;
So I like to draw a structure which depicts thier life to date,
For it helps folks make their choices, see more clearly road to take.

Now for books it seems that covers with some pages give a guide,
To the meanings of the structures, like a frame for what’s inside;
So too, structure for our business gives a place for us to toil,
Where the nebulous can flourish and creative juices boil.

For the shape of business structure sets a tone for what is done,
We’ve a space-ship with the shuttle – from the shuttle selling’s done,
Taking eggs to monetize them using CasilCorp or else,
Selling outright to the market – custom-made or off-the-shelf.

What is central to the structure is a place where Golden Eggs,
Can be nurtured and developed after time when they are laid;
Shuttle takes them from the spaceship finding ways to sell for cash,
Leaving task of innovation as the spaceship’s central task.

Keeping focus in the spaceship, feeding in essential thought,
Is the print shop with its clients wanting service, sharing talk;
But the core of ‘innovation’ is what fuels the enterprise,
Once that factor was established all the rest could then arise.
