Like Gossip In The Global Village

Silent and stealthy a virus does its work;
Somewhere behind it exists a cynic's smirk;
Far from creative in healthy sense of term,
Someone is twisted, abusing what's been learned.

Evil has feelings of joy, or hate, revenge;
Maybe frustration; no wish to make amends;
Somewhere a person, alive or dead today,
Draws satisfaction from what's been set in play.

Untold destruction of work, and people's lives,
Comes from the action on which this person thrives;
Much like gossip destroying rural towns,
Viral infections now go their global rounds.
