When I Read That Little Blurbie
When I read that little blurbie, I thought both of them were nuts;
That’s the fun of being Creenglish – freedom from both sets of ruts;
There’s conservatives and liberals talking – neither being heard,
Why not try communication, turning from your ways absurd.There’s illusion you have info in this open day and age,
With the Internet and cell phone you with all can now engage;
That’s not true, it’s just apparent, Babel walls are still intact,
And that allergy’s still active – thanks to God’s life-giving fact.Taking down the walls between us is not wise for us to do;
Better still to let those boundaries separate this human zoo;
God gave irritants between us – slowing our destructive ways,
Which dissolve when God as Spirit lives inside and guards our days.But the cost of that solution to this friction with our foes,
Is centrality of selfhood, fact of life which each one knows;
If I say, ‘God is the center of my life and all there is’,
I’m no longer at the center of this enterprising biz.That leaves management and unions grating on each other’s nerves;
They engage in games of chicken – see who blinks and which one swerves;
Ethnic groups are fine when tiny, still no threat to the status quo,
When percent goes over twenty – “There’s the door, now out to you go.”“Placidly go walk in chaos” bade the poster long ago;
How to live that piece of wisdom is the part folks want to know;
When God’s Spirit’s at the center of all life without, within,
Then the allergies between us just dissolve in life begins.navigation
