Thanks For The Input

I did not open carelessly
Our conversation yesterday,
But shared with you my best advice:
“Cash helps to make a life that’s nice –

So don’t be blind, pick up the cash.”
I do not for investment ask,
Though that’s the only way some know,
To in the end, a profit show.

It is, I grant, if “Mennonite”
Is just a name – then they are right;
But what if business-life has more,
And there’s a key to treasure’s store?

“You’re daft!” Your body then proclaimed,
“I’ve heard it all, explored claims
Of get-rich-schemes, and magic ways
To maximize how business pays.”

I said, “You cash on table leave,”
(Though that, it seems, you don’t believe);
“Exchange I offer – this for that” –
“Not sure – so can’t agree in fact.”

But you gave insight, did your half:
“Pre-sell your eggs”; “Tight-manage cash”;
“It’s tough out in the business world –
Be practical amidst the swirl.”

And then you left – went on your way,
As there was little else to say;
That’s true – but little else to hear?
(So far away – and yet so near).

So watch us as we prototype
A paradigm, to get things right;
Perhaps (and here’s for us the fun),
We’ll find new ways to business run.

Back to the hen-house we repair;
From “pre-awareness” to “aware”
For thirty dollars and some talk,
Perhaps you’ll watch us on our walk.

As Proverbs says, “Don’t ask for cash;
Grow up – for wisdom, guidance ask”
And so we did – had lunch with you –
Our thanks for sharing over food.
