Super-Chick

I ’member when the girl was small,
(’Till later on she was not tall),
So she got whupped there after school,
Grace said, “It’s best you just stay cool –

Your biggest asset is your brain;
For super-chick that’s not her game;
The strengths she wields there on the grounds –
This is her time – just look around.

“This is the top-out of her power;
She struts and swaggers for an hour,
And then it’s over, yes sir-ee,
She’ll level off, you wait and see.”

Then, sure enough that was the peak
For super-chick – Grace saw this week
In her encounter on her trip –
Now bank account’s enforced her lip.

No smarter now than back in school,
Though with her cash she is no fool;
Admires the risk she cannot take,
Sees intellect as “lucky break”.

Perceivers see; TR’s are blind;
Compassion-types are gentle, kind;
Administrators get things done;
They interact – now there’s some fun!

“My homework’s in my locker, Teach”;
“Who me? No I was sick this week”;
“That I could do if I had time”;
“Write this for me, pretend it’s mine”.

“Computer crash” or “flash-drive loss”;
“Sick days” still work for Teach and Boss;
“I hire my workers – work for me;
Make my report, and write my speech.

The clothing was the giveaway,
With style of hair from former day;
Those were the codes Grace saw right quick –
“Don’t cross me – I am super-chick”.

Now faking’s not the way to go
At school or in the workplace – show
Your strength, but work to mix it in
With other’s gifts – then all can win.
