Marketing

The market is the Shaman’s tent and marketer the Shaman;
The unseen hand in marketing’s constrained within by lawmen;
Midst esoteric rituals, the manna finds its presence
Admixed within some artifact, so now it’s of its essence.

In days of old our darkroom work was seen as hocus-pocus –
From camera and lighting stands end product was the focus;
Then digital emerged one day and Photoshop to fix it;
At first the mystery was gone as everyone could pix it.

Then gradually technique refined, and mystery with practice;
As workers from technicians learned, they viewed themselves as artists;
So after brief hiatus came a flow of potent pictures,
Photographers at last were viewed as Shamans without strictures.
