Dambuster

Who is this ‘Dambuster’ here in our midst?
Where does he come from? Why does he exist?
He was an accident, outside their plan;
Busted their dam of cognition, this man.

While still a youngster developed a way,
Surpassing leadership – far beyond play;
Both with the Scout Troop and Sunday school class,
Taught them survival and bush-skills quite fast.

Thought he was dynamite, left a wide swath;
Stirred up some people, incited their wrath;
Then he was humbled; saw infinite power;
Moved to alignment with God’s Kairos hour.

Saw his three questions; got hot on their trail;
One dam he busted – a wall he assailed –
Wall which restricted the growth of the church,
Saw that Apostles must do their work first.

Then education of First Nations folk;
Once shown the issue, the dam he then broke;
Autodidactic the way to raise kids,
Harness that thought and it blows off the lid.

Lots of small blockages blown on the way,
Setting folks free to a much better day;
Sometimes with photos, or games which he made,
Sometimes with actions or words he would say.

Now there’s one task which remains to be done –
Linking the givers with others as one;
Some of the pieces have now become clear,
Key to resolving this problem is near.
