Running Interference
The thing that bugs me most these days is folks who interfere;
They won't go in, but block the way, or so it would appear;
What right have they to step between the help God has and folks?
"Protecting" those they do not feel should hear His quips and jokes.Somehow they feel they know what's best for others in their space,
As if they stand for normal life, what's good in every case;
The trouble is what's "normal life" to them is life in jail,
Like those entranced in Plato's cave, they think within the pale.But sometimes God has other things He'd like to share with us;
I'm sure he must get right ticked off when we create a fuss
By saying “No, that's not for him (or her) – I know what's best”
At which He dodges round our blocks and says it nonetheless.I guess my problem's more the case I'd like to hero be –
To know that God conveyed His Word direct to folks through me;
With stress upon this channel – can't you see how great "I am"?
Oh right – the Word is God's for you – the channel is a man.navigation
