Jubilee

I got my software loaded and it's coded up a bit –
I've got a bit of handle on capacity – to wit:
It grabs and holds originals, does proxy doc's quite well
Then lets you sift and sort it out recalling it is swell.

So harvest time is on me, smelting gold I have mined before,
And beating into shape some things – or should I mine some more?
Three things You said You'd do through me while I do this and that –
Fix native-ed, renew your church, bring Giver gifting back.

The native-ed comes from my time in school which grated me;
Renewing church comes from that book whose vision helped me see;
The Giver group, cut out from church, has been my walk for years;
Through these three things help folks succeed and thus reduce their tears.

A "prototyping pioneer", as Barker used the phrase,
Is what I've done throughout the years, investing working days;
I've worked by hand up till this time, the tools were film and pen,
Computers helped a lot, and net was boon right at the end.

The population's double since my birth six decades back;
Communication's grown to fill the contact we now lack;
Our transportation now can take us off to distant lands;
Machines and tools let us perform some tasks with unskilled hands.

So if I just did those three things from now until the end,
How would things look, the game play out, this bit of living mend?
"It's not your task, remember Stu, it's Mine – do this and that,
And in the end those things I'll do – like satisfaction's cat.

"I built you to be curious; push folks from ditch's grasp;
Through you I blow up obstacles, get people back on track;
When you pull up, folks better feel; you have the view of cash;
You plant your crop and let it grow, increasing other's stash.

"So step on out, do this and that, as I bring others ’round;
Until they're ready to play ball with you, don't make a sound;
Perhaps those folks don't need your help – don't act until they do;
Until that time find better ways, and fancy up that tool.

"You've got your ways – like five of them – you've learned to use quite well –
Photography; ditch pushing ways; and info-Chase is swell;
You animate community by helping those who lead;
Designing tools to help out those, who help out those in need.

"It doesn't take that much to blow a snag when folks are stuck;
You're not the one who's dynamite when folks are in a rut;
So mosey ’round, your hand in Mine – the other reaching back,
So those who need a hand can grasp My hand – get back on track.

"For Jubilee is what I want to do (My power, resource)
To pull out from the slimy pit, stuck folks – just like a horse –
With crane and sling around its girth, not just providing feed –
Once they let go they'll take your help, but they must feel the need.

"Don't worry ’bout theology – as you're from Echoland;
They'll sing My praise in their own ways once they can understand;
But first they need to get freed up, duress is not my way;
Through this and that, it's Jubilee you'll do, so in Me stay."
