Language School

Can you say those eighty words, Stu, say them in your pictured way?
Eighty words we use for saying central things in life each day;
Seems to me they'd be a starting in your journey through this school;
Seems to me they'd be a way to now express thoughts new to you.

Wonder where that textbook is now, listing eighty ways to say
Central concepts – multi-language – as we journey on our way?
Let me stop and find that guidebook – let it be a way to learn
How to say what's on my mind now as I photo-language learn.

As I scan the net this morning, there’s some better shots to take –
Shoot the words and phrases English has no better way to make;
Words in English are quite fluid, bending, twisting, flowing through;
Picture-poetry in motion, drawing thoughts from me and you.

So I think I'll take that pathway (words that English still could use),
As I'll likely not remember languages I just peruse;
It's about my motivation – turn of phrase appeals to me
When it has perceptive meaning – boundary crosser then I'd be.

Course I could convey those Proverbs – insights there are quite astute –
There's six hundred in the Bible, ones I've studied on my route
I've cartoons of those perceptions, puzzles, insights, views unique –
They could start a conversation – plays on words – great harvests reap.

Proverbs drawn from other cultures, use of words unique to them –
Boundary-crossing-entertainment – photos tell the story – then
There are people in the heartland coming from the world around
Who would love to see their culture shared with others – all abound.

Photoshop could be some use there – punchy pictures quick to make –
Mixing people with the symbols; turning round the pix I take;
That should motivate my learning, like my site in MRD –
Exercise that has no purpose simply does not interest me.
