Spring Equinox

Soft lies this skiff of snow
Fresh cover for all things;
It's starting no one knows,
But melting now begins.

It's scary just how smooth
Our actions shift from thought;
Then life begins to move
Leave back positions wrought.

“Almost my foot had slipped”,
Said Psalmist's song of old;
“How firmly now I am gripped,
And brought in from the cold.”

This right and left-brain thought,
Is like a slippery slope –
Identity I've got,
For that no wish to grope.

For who can know what game
Through sliding might emerge,
Thus bring about a change,
Reality submerge.

So innocent it looks,
This blanket white of snow –
A world of spies and crooks,
A life where no-one knows.

Farewell Audie McDee,
I dare not tread your paths;
Stu-Art is good for me
As name, when someone asks.

Just clear and honest words
Created through my hand –
Communications heard
Of Stu from Echo-land.
