Gulf
Not everybody lives, and plays, and pays their full percent;
Today's the changing day when we'll see here is where things went
A new direction for all players, hence for me and you –
We stepped aside and let the faster players play on through.Today's the day he reads his e-mail, sees just who he is;
Today's the day she finds if she can use that name in biz;
Today's the day we chat about the cleaning and the lawns;
Today's a day a gulf emerges – cataclysm yawns.Today's the day that road is taken back in Frosty's woods;
Today's the day some go to heaven – ugly, bad, or good;
Today's the day we start again, eyes wider than the past;
Today's the day we witness heaven come to earth, at last.As each approaches dawn today we don't see future game;
We don't know what will change for us, or what will stay the same;
We do not see beyond horizon in our little path
Of world where we each struggle on while cataclysms last.Last night I said the books were his, a bit about my dad;
She said she'd check if she could use the name of little lad
To call the fund – resources to encourage other folk;
I said we'd talk about some ways to ease a burden's yoke.You said, O Lord, “Take up my task, my burden, light it is”;
Out here in giver-finance land of money, gifts, and biz
It is so hard to move that mountain (obstacles or doubt),
But you have come to give us life – show what it's all about.I thank you Lord you did not stay in Jewish culture's turf,
But trained and sent your men to us ’cross deserts, mountains, surf;
So here we are, our little band in Canada today,
Each hacking out the divots as we swing, and walk, and play.Lord grant to each the grace to live, let live, or play on through;
Give each the word he needs to have that he know what to do;
As dawn emerges in our lands of sun, and snow right here,
Grant that each person face each fact, and change their lives – no fear.navigation
