Just Desserts
It seems the student cut the wire,
The power set her hair on fire;
“Okay now students, now hear this,
Cut at the table, not the desk”.That's like as kids in shops one day,
Two fellows near the drill-press played
“Hey teacher, think I've problem have” –
A scratch-awl in his palm he had.Great fun those shops and home-ec times,
Compared to math they were sublime;
Prepared us for a life of hurts
