Changes In Communion

Zero, point two, point eight, one –
Chart is not a happy one;
CEA is still in range,
Several dates give slope of change.

Left brain can't recall the facts;
Right brain's flags go up at last;
If that's how it will play out
Shifting right will help, no doubt.

Cash goes out, but less comes in;
Seems the way it's always been;
It's a picture I don't like –
Flow and net just out of sight.

Friends and kin move off or die;
(Early ones create a sigh);
Chemo Bath in the world we see
Shifts our health that soon will be.

Mould and bugs creep in and steal
Goods and chattels, sad we feel;
Cash inflation takes up slack –
Two percent to hold banks back.

Fifty years we pile things up,
Second fifty off they slough;
Changing ways in changing times,
Future here is not sublime.

So our gaze shifts – longer span –
‘What of life's worth saving, man?’
Just one thing – called heavens gold –
Moth, nor rust, nor thieves take hold.

‘What's the source of heavenly stuff?’
Nebulous, ephemeral, rough,
Measured not in what's been done
More by-product – just like fun:

Gain, we lose and lose we gain;
Suffer, take other's pain;
Feed them first; keep longer view
Than surviving last, as Stu.

Fight injustice for another;
Lend a hand to raise a brother;
Give with love; release with care;
Unrestraint-restraint – both there.

Walk in Spirit, move with God
Though it often seems quite odd;
Pressure comes to tow the line
Coincides with Way some times –

Other times it is reverse
(Upside down's the universe);
But contrary's not the way
Life in Spirit leads our way.

People goof up – nasty time;
It's all covered, yours and mine;
Relationships then open up –
We with people, God, then sup.
