The Sanctification Of A C6 Gun
He who owns the gun supplies the ammo;
If government or rebel troops – the same;
If guns are ours, how wimpy our example –
Projectiles dribble out in two-foot range.For we've so little power in the chamber,
Though all the parts to fire are quite intact;
If “God's too small” perhaps we should remember
A common name for God is “power”, in fact.I picture, like an ammo-dump, Our Father,
A central depot of projectile power
Just for His use, for He will go no farther –
Without Him we are left work with ours.Perceivers are the biggest guns provided,
But most are so enamoured with their sound;
Their little bit of powder they've decided
Is more than all the others – they abound.Because their two-foot range exceeds all other,
They've no idea what the gun can do;
Their God's too small, “Me, turn to Him? Why bother?”
When I can see I'm biggest in my view.Then C6 truck gets stuck while out in danger;
A power-driven tow truck gets him out;
He hears such power can fit into his chamber;
That's when he starts to really look about.He knows his humble start has left him wimpy,
Despite the C6 shape he is in life;
He stumbles on each day, resources skimpy;
Then gets into a mess in midst of strife.“I wouldn't give a gun to little toddler”,
He notices as he reflects on one;
“Perhaps I must mature, come under orders,
So God can do full work with C6 gun.From “pre-awareness” of potential power,
“Awareness ” now his current stage of change;
God’s sanctifying work, defined this hour,
Is playing with the thought of increased range.Someday when he connects a greater power
With helping folks on other side of tracks
And sees himself as gun and God the powder
He'll gather up the info which he lacks.And then, mature, he fully understanding
His C6 role in life, and God the bang –
He'll try out ways to walk and shoot while standing;
Once tried, his life will never be the same.Then he will seek to implement approaches
Which work for him as C6, “power is Thine”;
Transcending early life and its reproaches,
Thus giving Afghan-help from local shrine.navigation
