Once More A Day Is Dawning
Once more a day is dawning,
The blue rolls back the black;
The car lights start to twinkle
On distant roads far back
From cities glowing streetlamps,
And silent waiting shops;
This new day comes with promise
For aged, teens, and tots.The house lights, clocks, and coffee,
Arouse their sleepy folk;
While spade and needle beckon
The hope that just awoke;
For light that comes with dawning,
Fresh energy it brings;
And with the warming sunshine,
We in fresh challenge sing.For some, it's in the morning
Hope rises in our breast;
For others, aft or evening
As mornings take their rest.
Thus sometime through each segment
As sun rolls on its way,
Fresh hands take up the promise
That life will find its day.For some the day that's dawning
Marks end of busy night;
The hope that's in the sunshine –
Dark struggles fill with light;
Sad shifts of care and tending,
Deep darkness ’fore the dawn –
Refreshment of the sunshine
Helps them to carry on.navigation
