Hyphen

It's not that they are hyphenated
More they flavoured be
With salt right from the shaker
Which means that they can't see.

That does not take them from their culture –
Opens up their eyes
Thus see what treasure lies there
Amidst what is despised.

What's good gets broken up or twisted
Hurtful deep within
But leaven lifts the burden
And lets the light stream in.

As Christian I'm not hyphenated
(Echolandish type)
But leavened, lightened, flavoured,
In Echoland – just right.

So if on hyphens you're insisting,
Makes most sense to you
Reverse the words and see how
Your culture’s flavoured too.
