The Shore
I might not make it to that shore,
But as I contemplate it more,
It does not matter all that much
If it's that shoreline that I touch –For as we work our way along,
Melodious is this present song,
Which rises up from deep in me –
‘How many others can I free?’Grateful I am for Jubilee,
That freedom song – abides in me;
I see so many struggling here
With need for quiet to their fear.Our freedom is not full for each,
Though longing for that distant beach;
“What matters now?” she asked one day –
This life which we can give today.navigation
