The Change

You note a change in poetry these days since “Journey” ends,
And comment that less relevant the words each message sends.
Think of it as ‘Competitor’ to others – reaching out
To touch their lives, affirm, en-tool, resolve some blocking doubt.

Now that the photos have caught up from “journey's” backlog group
I find two streams are merging – photo art and wordy soup.
With Internet response is quick or slow – whichever’s best;
An e-mail linked to poem speaks to one in midst of rest.

It's really quite amazing how the two arts blend as one
Like preaching was in former days – the public forum’s sum
Of life reflected as I walked in some community
With mix of Word and Life then said in ‘public privacy’.

It was the same in ‘Journey’, but the underlying theme
Has shifted from the healthcare world – now ‘Apostolic’ being –
As I walk through emergence of that ship out in the fog
And tugs emerge and cables strain – whatever could be cause?

So, here I am at ‘Volume 1’, third Omer on this walk,
As clued-out of this Venture's end as in my ‘Journey’ talk –
I'm glad life's moved on from those days a year ago right now –
Thus able to participate – ‘one Venture more’, somehow.

Two days this snow's been coming down – it's started up again –
Big fluffy flakes make shadows where the window's steam remains;
Like shadows of the atoms in that microscope it's said –
My picture-poems trace the interactive life I've led.
