Reflections On The Sale

A guy once bought our cottage place
I asked how done (without disgrace) –
To buy a firm – have for one's own
What steps come first – before the loan.

He said, “That's simple – walk right in
Ask if for-sale – be nice and grin
If so, how much, then view the books;
Then offer cash for how it looks.

If they say no, that's fine, move on,
Or if the talks don't move along;
There's lots of deals, not just this one,
Don't get attached – that's how it's done.”

Of course an option might help out,
Sold either way if there's some doubt.
Have cooler eyes peruse the drafts;
Then sleep on it – lets you stand back.

Life works, things grow, ’les blocked somehow
Like pix to me – exploding now;
Build up the farm, then housing place;
Tend horse and cow ’fore human race.

We're way up top the food chain here,
The base sustains our lifestyle dear;
So close the loop – flow life back down –
Supported base makes firmer ground.

Once I lock on to hearts’ desires
I then ignore transitions hours;
Some steps it takes to reach one's goal
The danger’s in the sale of soul.

“Make blankies for the little tots”
“Big-G's this school I think of lots”
“A hopeless church in hopeless town”
“A skaters Park – turn lives around”

“A greenhouse built to grow some kids”
“A station here, despair then rids”
“To dance my way around the globe”
“To pastor folks – lead and led bold”

A thousand plus I've heard to date
Of dreams expressed ’fore it's too late.
I watch for glint of light in eyes –
Joy’s tears flow forth from dreams that rise.

There comes a time we're all alone
 Wish list's unique – our very own;
’Cause there's no competition there
Flipside of that – none to compare.

Diversions rise with pay-check’s lure
“Come work for me, you'll be secure”
For some that's fine, it suits them well;
For other folks, its road to hell.

Perceivers bring insights to us
Some even come with little fuss;
Fog lifts, we see, and seize the day –
Then throw perceiver-types away.

When folks are sold on visions theirs
They tend to shun the others’ cares
If they can't see what's truly theirs
They'll go for yours – so just beware.

So, how to feed such hungry sheep?
Help them to find their roads unique;
Then sell in bulk your input clear
To those who want to travel near.

I call it ‘sparkle’– what we give
To some such task we do to live
We each give ‘sparkle’ to some task
And from each other ‘sparkle’ ask.

So pour it out – your channel clear
Mix sparkle in, both far and near;
They'll want excitement in their days
And seek you out to find your ways.

This globe supports six billion folks,
To service all would be a joke;
So make your choice, and do your part,
Just like I ‘sparkle’ in my art.
