The Current

As Omar process I review
And see what's happening with Stu
I look ahead to what I'll do
As I move forward now with you.

Last Omar was indeed success
As I began to clean the mess
That rose in piles throughout last year
When health was bad and way not clear.

The Omar system made for me
A way to live more concretely
A roughed-in plan to spend my days
And have some product to give praise.

The system was itself one thing
That at the end I now can bring
With thanks – grown in those fifty days
A structured guide for future ways.

Some good, some bad, some errors made
But now with benchmark, plans are made
‘Intentional’ to forefront comes
As I see now how Omar runs.

An ‘option’ seen at Omar first
Sweeps over me, creates a thirst
To be involved, to pick it up,
And run with it – go for that cup.

It seems absurd when thought about
But on it sweeps, dispels all doubt
Like joyful serendipity –
‘For poems, do photography’.

At base, one picture made each day,
(Two done to clear the Sabbath way);
Up to eight hours per day at max –
Do other things as I relax.

An Omar is sufficient time
Yet not too bad if error’s mine;
Last time you said – ‘do hours two’
When project walked six weeks with Stu.

I said I'd do the rest for you
As Mamascatch emerged into
A way to cover costs and things
As we saw if the project sings.

It sings – but problems rose up too;
So I backed off, as also you,
This time I'll start the photos first
Then onto scene let others burst.

I note what one starts first, as base,
Sets form, then not to second-place
Slips back as if an add-on piece,
For it as engine gives increase.

I much prefer a flank attack,
Works best for me, when time I lack –
Less hassle then, as bees in a hive
Ignore all random acts that strive –

To do some other thing in life
With no intent to cause them strife.
Your outside project’s yours that way,
Which leaves your school to flex each day.

I'll have to work up details new,
Configure it – get back to you –
A hundred ways to skin that cat –
But now I see it's coming back.
