Religious Studies

According to Dr. Phil Gosselin, some religious studies people regard themselves as in Social Science in that they are concerned with how different religious groupings have looked at a variety of issues.[] There are also those in that discipline who are concerned with aspects of religious behavior similar to the section of Sociology which concerns itself with religious practices of mankind.

There are, however those who look for meaning and applicability in life and focus their attention in the religious sphere, locating themselves in the humanities area of knowledge. As Dr. Peter Hordern noted, they use both quantitative and qualitative methods in this work[], as both approaches result in material for thought and reflection.

Dr.Hordern noted that the interpretation facts is important, and that Social Science often fails in that or goes trite.[]
